the capitol hill fly-in offers irem members an opportunity to meet with their federal legislators and advocate for issues of importance to the real estate management industry.

meeting with lawmakers in washington is critical for the future health and growth of the industry, and irem is making it as easy as possible to make your voice heard. participating in the fly-in allows you to:

  • build relationships with legislators that will only increase in value over time
  • speak directly to the people with the power to change laws and regulations about issues that matter to you, your business, and the clients you represent

meeting with your members of congress is one of the most effective ways you can influence the legislative process. with congress slated to address many issues affecting our industry in 2020, it’s more important than ever to understand how to identify your members of congress, contact their offices, schedule and conduct an effective meeting.

    • 6:00-7:00 pm – cocktail reception
      • location: nar office
    • 7:00 pm – chapter/region dinners (on your own)
  • wednesday, march 11
    • 9:00 am – travel to the capitol for meetings
