julie scott, cpm®, is a director at fortress property management, inc., in portland, or. in the business since 1983, scott has managed office, medical office, academic and clinical space, mixed use, conventional and low-income/tax credit residential communities, shopping centers and “power centers” (both on and off-site), industrial assets, and a portfolio of retail shopping centers in 7 states.
passionately involved in irem (日本vs西班牙水位分析) both locally and nationally, scott earned her cpm (certified property manager) designation in 1999. she served as chapter president for the oregon-columbia river chapter in 2003, in addition to having chaired multiple committee from 1998 to the present. she is currently serving as their vice president of communications and is responsible for the oversight of the chapter’s administrative functions.
nationally, scott served as irem’s regional vice president in 2005 and 2006 for region 12, served as vice-chair of the rvp committee in 2007, was the first chair of the star chapter grading and evaluation team in 2007 and served on the irem national executive committee from 2008 to 2014. she also served as a senior vice president from 2011-2014. scott has been a member of the board of directors of the irem foundation since 2012.
additionally, scott is an instructor for irem, teaching ethics, leading a winning management team, and marketing for residential properties. she’s also served on content re-write teams for irem credentialing courses, along with other education related taskforces.
she was awarded “cpm of the year” in 2001 and 2014 by her local chapter, irem past president of the year in 2008, 2011, 2012, and 2013. in 2015, scott was honored with the professional achievement award from irem, which is earned after having achieved certain milestones in local and national volunteerism. in 2015, she was a finalist in the first-ever reme awards from irem and was a finalist again in 2016.
scott has authored many real estate and motivational articles published in the journal of property management (jpm), and in 2011 was inducted into irem’s academy of authors.
she was a contributing author for the 16th edition of the principles of real estate management and was featured in vol. 2 of 50-inverviews: successful property managers, by michael levin.
scott is a trainer and motivational speaker and has spoken at numerous functions in both local and national arenas including multi-family nw and shriner’s hospital. born and raised in portland, or, she lives with her two parson jack russell terriers and enjoys riding her honda ctx700 motorcycle.
scott is a member of the irem oregon-columbia river chapter.
