thomas “mick” newell is currently property manager for washington holdings in seattle, washington. in this position he oversees day-to-day operations of a two high-rise properties, which together form an office/retail complex, union square, totaling over 1.8 million rentable square feet. he is in charge of tenant relations for over 220 tenants, assisting with capital projects, and regularly meeting with facility contacts. his team responds to over 10,000 work orders per year. previously, he worked for kidder mathews, managing the allen institute building in seattle, a 272,000 square foot lab science building, creating building procedures, and working to stabilize operations for the new property. during that time, he received kidder mathews’ 2016 mvp award for customer service. he is a member of the 2017-2018 next-gen cpm program through irem, and a member of the board of directors for boma seattle/king county. he completed his cpm requirements in june 2018.
