jillian anderson mairura, cpm®, acomassociate facility manager newmark houston, texas
jillian anderson mairura is a native houstonian and strong believer that curiosity propels growth. she began her career with brookfield properties at a 1.15mm sf class aa trophy property in houston’s cbd. after taking an intro to property management course with irem, she realized that the industry was far more exciting and dynamic than she thought. she eventually decided to take on contract roles and witness firsthand what it was like to manage other asset types. during that time, she worked with retail, office, industrial and mixed-use portfolios at companies such as transwestern, stream realty, cbre, and liberty property trust (now prologis), to name a few. she is now an associate facility manager at newmark, where she supports an office portfolio in the southwest united states for a multinational information and analytics client.
jillian has earned both her acom and cpm. she went on to be accepted into irem houston’s future leader program and join irem houston’s diversity, equity & inclusion committee. she has also earned her fmp (facility management professional) with the international facility management association and is a licensed real estate agent in the state of texas.
jillian was recently selected to be a diversity & inclusion succession initiative (disi) honoree by irem and looks forward with optimism and enthusiasm in helping to propel real estate management to the forefront of career opportunities for minorities and young professionals.
