    originally from appleton, wisconsin, ben graduated from the university of wisconsin – stout in 2012 with a degree in property management and minor in business administration. following school, ben joined weidner apartment homes as a manager-in-training in seattle, washington. after a year of training ben was promoted to a community director role, where he worked the next four years in a variety of properties throughout the seattle-metro area spending the most time at a 316 unit property in renton, wa. in 2017, ben was promoted to an area manager role and currently oversees approximately 850 units in a growing eastern washington market. as part of the first ever irem student club, ben has taken an active role with irem serving on the chapter 27 executive council for two years. during this time he has worked heavily with growing chapter legislative efforts, creating a volunteer community our reach program, and helping to grow an iyp program which was awarded an innovation award in 2017. in addition, over the past four years ben has served on the national student and academic outreach advisory board, and sits on advisory boards for property management programs at the university of wisconsin stout and north seattle community college.
