the annual meeting of the rer addressed both the myriad of economic and health issues impacting the real estate industry due to the coronavirus pandemic and what steps both the rer and the broader real estate industry can take to address systemic racism.
policy highlights from the meeting include:

- representative hill discussed the likelihood of another coronavirus relief bill this summer and that congress is currently examining where there are gaps in need. two issues representative hill cited were both business continuity coverage and pandemic risk insurance.
- both secretary mnuchin and the tax policy committee discussed recommendations for the main street lending program to better ensure that businesses that need it have access to capital.
